There may be a null value problem, the Extractvalue function does not have a null error problem, guess 3: It is possible that the CLOB type does not support the Extractvalue function because Oracle has another field that is also the---sys.xmltype type that saves the XML string
Solution: If the XML field is CLOB type, then the XML fields are converted to the Sys.xmltype type, which is XmlType (XML), and if the Sys.xmltype type is used directly with the function
