Oracle ebs wms function introduction (2)

The shipping logistics logic mainly includes

1. Packaging: You can perform multi-layer nested packaging and notify the user of the special packaging method for the order. Packaging can be performed during picking or as an independent operation.

2. The Warehouse Manager can schedule an appointment with the transportation company for the trip. The availability of the dock door and the use of the waiting area in the warehouse.

3. Select different methods for sorting of different orders.

4. Manage sorters so that orders can be sorted Based on Mobile handheld applications or paper sorters

5. Cantonization: select the appropriate number and size of containers during order fulfillment.

7. The shipping phase/Union and loading can merge multiple partially filled containers/LPNs to fewer and more optimized containers.

8. Ship verification and shutdown. Notify Oracle WMS immediately of the items, quantities, and containers that have been picked or loaded, and those that should be deducted from the inventory.

9. the Warehouse Management Control Panel provides real-time snapshots of working processes in multiple areas of the warehouse, this allows the Warehouse Manager to adjust his staff to a region that may lag behind other areas.

10. wave sorting provides a graphical query method, allowing you to build a wave sorting based on the combination of several selection conditions, including order line, container, delivery, itinerary, recipient, delivery method, delivery address, order income, customer delivery plan, transportation company, etc.

11. the order of sorting tasks is determined by the order of the wave sorting tasks generated, and the priority is determined according to user-defined rules, including the sorting method, workload, picking path, and stock allocation rule orders.

Overview of storage and device management

1. automatic replenishment provides inventory and MRP replenishment plans, dynamic replenishment, and direct replenishment from goods receipt.

2. Advanced batch and serial number control, including Batch separation, merging and renaming support.

3. Container Management allows you to track the contents of any shipping, WIP, inventory, shipping, and in-transit containers.

4. material status control, indicating whether the material can be used for business.

5. Kanban management: internal and external supplier dashboards are supported.

6. Task Assignment: Guides warehouse personnel to necessary task assignment, warehouse location, and the devices required to complete the assignment task.

7. Inventory business promotes the movement of goods into the warehouse, out of the warehouse and in the warehouse.

8. cyclic check/physical check, so that multiple users can define the check conditions through materials, location, picking frequency, days, inconsistency, and expected receipt. The full physical disk and review physical check at startup are also supported.

9. Exception management-based workflows help warehouse managers improve the effectiveness of their business operations by configuring Real-Time alerts and workflow-based supply chain event alerts. For example, when the number of picking items is less than the number required by the order, the workflow sends a reminder to check the location.

Overview of reverse logistics

L RMA (Return Material Authorization), which uses Orcle Warehouse Management to record the receipt and inspection of customer Return. The date and quantity of materials received can be verified by RMA.

L supplier return (return to vendor RTV for the supplier), so that the materials are returned to the appropriate supplier from the previous po or procurement agreement.

L renovation and recycling to provide Oracle Service and Depot Repair support for business processes requiring advanced reverse logistics and Repair services.

Value-added services

L Kitting/Dekitting, supporting Kit to Stock (supported by Work Order-less completion) and Kit to Order (supported by Pick toOrder ).

L hybrid node production, supporting order-based production (ATO), project-based/order-based design (ETO), and simultaneous discrete and repetitive/process environments.

L Work in process for WIP through the mobile user interface ).

L VAS/production quality inspection. Based on configurability, the system automatically generates physical mobile transactions to move a material from the production area to the quality control inspection area.

L integration with PJM, Flow, and OSFM. warehousing management can be integrated with project management, process manufacturing, and workshop management.

Rules and Rules Engine

The rule engine provides a storage area for customer restrictions and business policies related to your repository.

L customer restrictions and business policies are implemented and enforced as rules engines.

L rules are defined and implemented directly from the standard Oracleforms. When defining and implementing rules, you do not need to write custom code.

L you can build rules by selecting the provided value list.

LPN (License Plate Numbers)

An LPN represents any object that exists in one position and holds the material.

L all materials received through OracleWMS are associated with a unique LPN. This makes it easier for materials to be tracked and processed in the warehouse without scanning materials, quantities, batches, or serial numbers.

Use LPNs

You can use LPNs to do the following:

L receive, store, and select goods through LPN.

L check the current quantity through LPN.

L process multiple materials in one transaction through LPN.

L tracking nested LPNs, such as cartons on the shipping Board (here the shipping board is an LPN and each carton has its own LPN ).

Material status

Item Status control is extended by providing an additional control and transaction control area.

In addition to specifying transaction behaviors at the item level, the material status control allows you to specify the material status at the level of sub-inventory, warehouse location, batch or serial number. In this way, you can specify the transactions that are allowed and which are not allowed for the inventory materials.

The material status also allows you to query the current state of the material, and also allows you to generate and view historical report on the change of the material status in the warehouse.

Warehouse Management Control Panel

The Warehouse Management Control Panel provides the Warehouse Manager with snapshots of the real-time progress of all the work in the warehouse. It enables the Repository Manager to do the following:

L provide activity types and resources for Task Management

L follow the working process and direct his manpower to areas that may lag behind.

L re-allocate tasks accepted by one employee to another employee.

Warehouse Management System Integration point

Integration of the warehousing system with the following systems

L procurement)

L WIP (Work in process)

L Inventory (Inventory)

L Shipping)

L OrderManagement)

L Manufacturing)

L cost (Costing)

L quality (Qulity)

Warehouse Management uses the same setting steps as inventory, but only makes some changes to some aspects. For example, the storage uses the sub-databases and locations you define in the inventory. Warehouse Management is closely integrated with inventory and enhances its functions and adds new functions.

L WMS uses the same inventory setting steps, but when implementing WMS, additional attributes should be considered.

L because inventory is required when WMS is used, you have to consider inventory attributes when WMS is implemented.

Mobile Application and warehousing management

Mobile applications allow you to input transactions in real time and accept the warehouse tasks assigned by the system.

Mobile applications represent mobile handheld devices that help reduce costs and improve transaction processing efficiency.

Mobile Application Integration

Mobile applications provide a mobile interface for transactions on the desktop. As part of the Oracle EBS solution, mobile applications are integrated with Oracle Manufacturing, Oracle Quality, Oracle Shipping, and OracleInventory. for example, in processing, mobile applications and shipping transactions, quality detection, RMAs, and database migration are integrated.

In Manufacuturing, mobile applications provide a mobile application interface for moving, scrap/reject, completion transactions, resource transactions, and work orderless assemblies. quality data can also be input in the transaction process. Mobile applications provide similar integration for FlowManufacturing.

Oracle Quality provides an interface to collect Quality data on mobile devices and view detailed instructions.

Oracle Inventory supports miscellaneous transactions, inter-organizational transfers, periodic check, and physical check on mobile devices, and provides the ability to view existing Inventory.

The picking and shipping process integrates Oracle order management and Oracle procurement to provide precise drawings of orders at any point in the process.

Data identifier

A Data identifier is associated with a different prefix for each type of data to be scanned to allow scanning outside the order.

Mobile devices automatically remove these prefixes before placing data in the correct location on the device.

Oracle Warehouse Management supports data field identifiers (DFI). A barcode with a prefix can indicate the values contained in the barcode. There are three steps to use this function:

To set DFI, the prefix can be associated with fields on mobile devices. In addition, DFIs can be specified as required or optional. Multiple DFIs can be associated with a specific order to specify a matching order.

For example, to set DFI for Item, text "DFI = P +, p + P, p REQ = N" will be registered on AK Prompt Form. This will tell the Mobile Server to find the following DFIs: "P +", "p +", "P", and "p" on the order ". It also indicates that this DFI is optional. This means that if the server finds a DFI, it will be removed. But not found, the whole bar code will be used.

In addition to setting DFI, a mobile device must be configured with an ASCII control character before the barcode to indicate to the Mobile Server that the data comes from the barcode and find DFI.

DFI removal: When a mobile device identifies a bar code scan, it checks all matching DFIs. if a DFI is found, it will remove the DFI and insert the remaining data to the current field.

For scanning outside the order, if the page contains a DFI field that is scanned outside the order, the Mobile Server will remove the DFI and immediately place the value on the appropriate field. The cursor remains on the current field, but the scan field value is inserted. You only need to scan fields outside the order to process the appropriate verification.
