Personal opinions on the development of Unix-like systems-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application information. The following is a detailed description. Original Author: esinhee

First of all, I want to emphasize that I am not here to start a verbal war. My friends who like my mother-in-law are not welcome yet. I am just talking about my immature ideas. Don't be honest with me; no matter what you do, check yourself first.

I don't know how to study computer for more than four years. I did not dare to tell others that I learned computer science (except my peers ). In the past few days, I have been thinking about a question about what kind of comments should be given to Unix-like systems (including Unix and all Unix variants, as well as Linux. It is commendable that Unix-like windows have always been strong with their own black Shell windows and have formed their own style. The power of its system functions and the increasing popularity of users are also truly excited. Unix-like systems implement the basics of operating systems, which is understandable. Their openness also makes open source enthusiasts eager to show their powerful vitality. However, today I am not here to boast of such systems, and there is a fatal problem with Unix-like systems. These others have discussed how many times I don't know. Here I will only focus on my own ideas.

Linux has only been around for more than a decade. Unix is old, and many systems on the market have been derived for decades. This is an important part in the history of operating system development. Linux is introduced here. Since its birth, Linux has a broken connection with Unix and implements open-source protocols. Today, it is already an important force to compete with Windows. But unfortunately, I want to say that Linux is over. Why? Throughout its development history, it is not difficult to see that there is a lag in Linux. Over a decade of development, the speed is slow, the model is aging, there is no innovation, there is no correct direction. I will not elaborate on the specifics. Please consider them yourself. Therefore, Linux has been in vain for more than a decade, and the space for development in the future will be very small, making it difficult to jump out of the current mode. Let's look back at the entire Unix-like system world. Although Unix is the old version of most operating systems, the old version is a bit difficult. Apart from the fact that Linux is basically the same, there are also stubborn and inflexible issues. It is almost no exaggeration to say it is angry. Despite the original intention of Ricky, it was later brilliant under the open-source protocol. However, the loss was big, and it was nothing more than holding a family business. Here, we have to mention the Open Source protocol. Any protocol is a member of the Open Source protocol family. It is true that there is no denying the role of open-source protocols, even now it is playing a role in light and heat. However, there has been no change for a long time, and the terms on the ancient scene have severely restricted the development of the entire Open Source world. Under such a model, it is doomed to enrich most of them by the Production Technology of small workshops. What's more, the power is too scattered, which is the situation of the entire circle. Even now, it has not changed much.

Today, we cannot help wondering, is Unix-like really the best? Is Unix preferred? I think the starting point for technicians to choose such systems is that they are free and busy. Who can say that Unix-like design is good. If nothing can be compared, then it is wrong. The design of the system is just a model. It is not the credit of anyone, but the crystallization of the whole human wisdom. The existing systems have their own advantages. They cannot be generalized and it makes no sense to compare them. Speaking of this, I think of the battle between Windows and Linux fans that I have seen before. One of the reasons for supporting Linux is that Linux is safe and efficient, this is because it has abandoned those elegant and useless appearances, because these will make the system unstable. The final conclusion is that Linux does not have a friendly human-computer interaction interface to ensure system stability. I don't know who made the conclusion for the first time. System instability is caused by the interface, which is really ridiculous. I don't know how Linus feels, but Linux has not yet become its own coat. However, making such a conclusion is undoubtedly distracting everyone. First, the system stability has nothing to do with the interface. Secondly, the interface affects the system stability, which only shows the incompetence of design and development. Why can't we do better, but find such a reason to cheat ourselves and everyone? Not to mention that desktop is not the development goal of Unix-like. This is another lie. Check how many server systems are not using the desktop. The system is intended for humans and is friendly, that is, its goal. The history of human design industry is moving toward simplicity, rather than making a complicated thing, and then deceiving yourself not doing this well. This is not to say that Unix-like desktops are not doing well, but that they are not enough. Isn't it possible to implement powerful functions on a friendly interface! This idea is also suitable for the entire Unix-like system world.

No matter what system disputes, this is meaningless and naive. You must learn to see the advantages of others, and then reflect on yourself. Then, you must learn the advantages to achieve long-term development. Think about how much it can develop if it is an experience that integrates various systems. Moreover, the traditional operating system model has reached the limit and will not achieve any further development. This requires a new architecture and a better direction. If anyone wins, you have to look at it. Of course, it does not mean that the traditional system has no value. At least till now, it has set up a high starting point, which will create a good condition for the later generation. Finally, when the deer is dead, it depends on whether he is a hero.
