PHP Installation strategy: PHP3 + NT + IIS. The local environment uses the default installation of NT4 + IIS4, and the IIS root directory is C: Inetpubwwwroot. 1. software download you can use the default installation NT4 + IIS4 from the ahrefwww. php. netdownload-php.php3www.php.netdownlo local environment, the IIS root directory is C: Inetpubwwwroot.
I. software download
You can download the latest Win32 binary version of PHP from http://www.php.net/download-php.php3> http://www.php.net/download-php.php3.
II. software installation
You can get detailed installation tips from http://www.php.net/manual/install-windows95-nt.php3> http://www.php.net/manual/install-windows95-nt.php3. You can install it as follows:
1. decompress the downloaded software using winzip.zip and install it in the C: Intepubphp3 directory.
2. copy the php3.ini-dist file to the C: winnt directory and rename it php3.ini.
C: Windows in windows 95/98
C: winnt or c: winnt40 in Windows NT
3. modify the php3.ini file in the C: Intepubphp3 Directory:
A) add "C: inetpubphp3" to "extension-dir =" in the php3.ini file ";
B) add "C: Inetpubwwwrot" after "doc-root ";
C) remove the '; extension = php3-mysql.dll' and '; extension = php3-dbase.dll' before.
D) Add/winnt/systom32/intetsrv/browscap. ini to "browscap =;
E) set SMTP to the names of IMAP servers with Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino, such as mail.chinaweal.com;
F) remove ";" before upload_tmp_dir and set upload_tmp_dir to a directory that can be fully controlled by every user. this directory is used to store temporary files during upload;
G) run "Internet service manager ".
Right-click "default web site" and select "properties ",
Click "main directory" in the displayed window ",
Click "configuration" and then click "add" in the displayed window ":
In the executable file (x): Enter C: Inetpubphp3php: exe % s (remember to add % s 〕
Enter. php3 in extension (E)
Click "OK ".
All the configurations have been completed so far. Note that this method cannot be used in IIS3.0.
