The ArcGIS product family's Web 3D features have been long awaited by many users. Starting with the ArcGIS 10.3.1 version, Esri has put a big trick on awaited's Web 3D functionality, and eventually no longer holds the pipa half covered. So how exactly will the 3D scene be created and published? The following is a record of today's test process.
Test environment

- Memory: 16G
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M

Prerequisites to know
1. First of all, it is important to ensure that your environment meets the requirements of the system, which is one of the essential and non-negligible conditions, such as the following documents:
ArcGIS for Server system requirements
Http://server.arcgis.com/zh-cn/server/latest/install/windows/arcgis-for-server-system-requirements.htm
ArcGIS Pro System Requirements
Http://pro.arcgis.com/zh-cn/pro-app/get-started/arcgis-pro-system-requirements.htm
2. The scene service for ArcGIS is a new type of WEB service that comes from ArcGIS Pro and requires that ArcGIS Pro, which creates and publishes Scene services, is a 1.1 or later version number . In other words, the traditional ArcGIS for Desktop is not able to create and advertise scene service at this moment.
3. The scene Service support was started from the ArcGIS for Server 10.3.1 version number. That is, the slightly earlier version of the 10.3 is also not able to oh. In order to publish 3D data (Multipatch) and 2D data as hosted scene layers in the portal, the necessary installation components are the portal for Arcgis, arcgis data Store .
Of The ArcGIS Data store stores the scene layer tile cache used in scene Service.
4 federate ArcGIS Server with the portal. and designate ArcGIS server as the hosting server for the portal.
details how to configure? refer to the Help documentation. Don't dwell on it here. Although somewhat cumbersome, there are chapters to follow:
Federated ArcGIS Server sites and Portals
Http://server.arcgis.com/zh-cn/server/latest/administer/windows/federate-an-arcgis-server-site-with-your-portal.htm
Configuring the hosting server

The process of creating and publishing scene Service
1. Open ArcGIS Pro. Create scenes and add scene data. The building model is the Multipatch Feature Class in File geodatabase.
2. Ensure that the Portal is connected and activated, and that your account has rights to create content, advertise hosted features, and advertise hosted scenes.
> 这里须要说明下。眼下,仅仅用 Portal for ArcGIS 才支持公布 Multipatch 数据源的 Scene Service。
ArcGIS Online 暂不支持。假设大家的 ArcGIS Pro 是60天试用版本号的许可,默认激活的门户是ArcGIS Online。须要加入并切换到一个可用的Portal。
3. Make sure that the scene in ArcGIS Pro is open in Global View. Suppose it is a Local View and can switch.
4. Share the scene. Analysis Services to ensure that no Error is available. If you have one, you need to fix it beforehand.
5. Wait and make sure all tasks in the Job folder are completed successfully.
Depending on the amount of data, different bandwidth, different hardware configuration. The duration of the whole announcement of the service varies.
My test, which has 89 different levels of building models, has been published for about 1 minutes.

The ArcGIS Scene Viewer needs to support WebGL's desktop Web browser. WebGL is the Web technology standard for rendering 3D graphics.
Click here to test if the browser has WebGL enabled, open get.webgl.org. To troubleshoot WebGL-related issues, visit the WebGL Troubleshooter .
The ArcGIS Scene Viewer supports these web browsers:Chrome, firefox. Internet Explorer 11. Safari.
What I'm using here is that Chrome is Version 47.0.2526.111 m (64-bit).
It looks good.

It's just this weekend. Can be measured in a relatively continuous time, the effect is very pleasant. I'm going to do some more big data tests, and I'll update them later.
