Prev () Definition and usage
The prev () function moves the pointer to the current element to the position of the previous element and returns the value of this element.
If the internal pointer has exceeded the first element of the array, the function returns false.
Syntax
Prev (array) parameter description
Array is required. Specifies the array to be used.
Description
Prev () and next () behave similarly, But it returns the internal pointer back to one rather than forward to one.
Note: If the array contains empty cells or the unit value is 0, FALSE is returned when the function encounters these cells. To correctly traverse arrays that may contain null cells or whose unit value is 0, see the each () function.
Example
Copy codeThe Code is as follows:
<? Php
$ People = array ("Peter", "Joe", "Glenn", "Cleveland ");
Echo current ($ people). "<br/> ";
Echo next ($ people). "<br/> ";
Echo prev ($ people );
?>
Output:
Peter
Joe
