Set oralce Automatic Memory Management
Shutdown and restart are required to enable oracle automatic memory management.
1. Determine the sga pga memory size:
Copy codeThe Code is as follows:
SHOW PARAMETER TARGET
2. determine the maximum pga usage since the database is started:
Copy codeThe Code is as follows:
Select value from v $ pgastat where name = 'maximum PGA allocated ';
3. Calculate the memory_target size:
Copy codeThe Code is as follows:
Memory_target = sga_target + max (pga_aggregate_target, maximum PGA
Allocated)
4. Set memory_target
Copy codeThe Code is as follows:
Alter system set MEMORY_MAX_TARGET = nM SCOPE = SPFILE;
MEMORY_MAX_TARGET is not a dynamic initialization parameter.
If text initialization parameter file is used, edit the following two parameters:
Copy codeThe Code is as follows:
Memory_max_target = nM
Memory_target = mM
5. Shut down and restart the database.
