Prohibit computer sharing of files, prohibit LAN sharing of files, and prevent copying shared files
Sometimes to protect the security of computer files, we need to disable computer sharing and block LAN shared file access. The specific settings are as follows:
Method 1: Disable shared folders and group policies to block network sharing.
The group policy is a very powerful feature of the operating system. It is also very easy to disable network shared files through the Group Policy, as shown below:
Click "run" in the Start Menu, enter "gpedit. msc", and press Enter.
Select "user configuration" in the "manage template" window on the right of the Computer Policy "user configuration" in the Group Policy, and then click "shared folder", as shown in:
Create a shared folder and click "allow publish shared folder", as shown in:
Select "disabled" in "attribute" settings, as shown in:
By using this method, network sharing can be successfully disabled to prevent computer file leaks caused by shared files. However, because this method is implemented through computer group policies, it is easy for some technical staff to re-license the publishing of shared files through reverse modification, therefore, this method has certain risks and is suitable for enterprise LAN users who do not know much about the technology.
Method 2: This is achieved through specialized computer security management software and software that prohibits network sharing of files.
Due to a certain vulnerability in disabling network sharing through group policies, this setting is also troublesome for each computer. Therefore, you can consider using specialized computer file management software. For example, there is a "portable to USB port management software" (: http://www.grabsun.com/monitorusb.html), this is a dedicated to disable computer USB storage devices (such as U disk, mobile hard disk, mobile phone, etc.) software, at the same time, it can also prohibit computers from sending computer files by sending email attachments, uploading online files, uploading FTP files, and sending QQ files, thus greatly protecting the security of computer files.
At the same time, the disabled software on the USB port is integrated with a function to prohibit network sharing. You only need to select "prohibit file sharing" on the interface to completely delete the files already shared by the local machine, you can also disable the computer from setting up shared files again. In addition, you can disable the registry, disable the Device Manager, disable the Group Policy, disable computer management, and so on through "Disable to shield the USB port software, this completely prevents technical staff views from resetting shared files in reverse ways, greatly protecting the security of computer files.
Figure: Prohibit Network sharing. In short, both the Group Policy and the computer file management software can prohibit the computer from setting shared files and disabling network shared files, however, compared with group policies, specialized computer file security management software can achieve more rigorous file sharing control. Enterprises and institutions can choose based on their own needs.
