Remove Blank
Remove trailing blanks
Make sure that the trailing string is empty, using Rstrip ();
Delete whitespace at the beginning of the string, using Lstrip ();
Delete whitespace at both ends of the string, using strip ()
Code:
>>>favorite_language = ' python '
>>>favorite_language
' Python '
>>>favorite_language.rstrip ()
' Python '
>>>favorite_language
' Python '
Note: After calling the method Rstrip () on the variable favorite_language, the extra space is removed. However, this deletion is temporary, and the next time you ask for the value of favorite_language, it still contains extra whitespace. To permanently delete whitespace, you must save the result of the delete operation back into the variable.
Code:
>>>favorite_language = ' python '
>>>favorite_language = Favorite_language.rstrip ()
>>>favorite_language
' Python '
