The Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) series of best practices and Beginner's guide aims to help customers quickly learn about implementation, upgrade, and maintenance.
Recently wandering on MOS, I suddenly found some Chinese articles. Later I got the Oracle community translation. I thought the translation was good. I posted it here to help others, make a record for future reference. This document is very long, and the maximum number of characters in a blog post cannot exceed 20 thousand. Therefore, I can only post this document in four parts in order. The first part is as follows:
Applies:
Oracle Database-Enterprise Edition-Version 10.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.3 [Release 10.2 to 11.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Purpose
Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) series with best practices and Beginner's guide, the main goal is to help customers quickly understand the general implementation, upgrade and maintenance of the Oracle RAC System and the best practices for specific platforms, oracle writes and maintains this document based on its own experience and global RAC customer feedback.
The purpose of this beginner's guide is not to replace the Oracle documentation set, but to supplement it. For any issues not explicitly resolved in this document, you should carefully read, understand, and refer to the Oracle documentation, to find the answer.
Your operation team should carefully review all the suggestions and implement them only after passing the corresponding risk assessment, risk assessment can only be performed by persons with rich system, application, and enterprise environment knowledge.
Since each customer's environment is unique, the success of Oracle Database implementation (including Oracle RAC implementation) stems from a successful test environment. For any suggestions in this article, before implementation in the production environment, it is necessary to fully test and verify in the testing environment as a replica of the target production environment, to ensure that there is no negative impact related to the implemented recommendations.
