Samba is a free software that implements the SMB protocol on Linux and UNIX systems. It consists of servers and client programs.
Samba 3.6.0-4.4.0 does not properly handle DCERPC connections in MS-SAMR and MS-LSAD protocols, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to modify client-to-server data streams, execute protocol degradation attacks and impersonate users, read and Write Security Account Manager databases and obtain sensitive information.
