1. Evolution email management settings

First, run evolution. Where is it... Look at the top of the screen. On the menu bar, we will find this small icon:

Here, we want to enter the information for receiving the email. Generally, almost all types of receiving servers are pop. However, we cannot rule out that some websites use other protocols. Therefore, we have to go to the website to see. In general, the pop field in pop.163.com is your receiving server type name. Here, for example, 163, the server type is pop. Below, the server, that is, pop.163.com mentioned above. Then, on the "user name" column, type the user name used to log on to the mailbox. Next, we need to set the "Receive option", which is usually set here. However, you can also set it based on your preferences. It is easy to understand Chinese.

 

 

 

After the recipient is set, set "Send email. Here, I also mean that the server type for sending mail is SMTP. If there are other types of mail, please make a selection based on objective facts. I checked that 163 of the servers that send emails are SMTP and smtp.163.com. Therefore, we need to fill in first. Similarly, select "Remember password ".

 

 

 

In the "Account Management" below, the name is your name for the account. Generally, the default name given by the system is the email address.

 

 

Here, let's set the "Time Zone". Generally, the default value is the system's time zone. Therefore, as long as it is not abroad, it is not necessary to set it.

 

 

 

The setting is complete, and now the "finished" page is displayed. Click "application" to complete all settings.

 

Now we have to go to its main interface. Because the system does not allow the user to enter the password During setup, you must enter the password for the first time. Ii. newsgroup settings

Set the newsgroup. I don't quite understand what a newsgroup is. Generally, the email server is used to receive the message.

Open our evolution, click "edit"> "Preferences" on the menu bar, and select "add" in the email account ". Then, it is similar to the email set above. However, there are several steps to note that I have provided examples.

 

Note 1: on the server type of "receive email", select "Usenet News" and enter the name of the newsgroup server you want to participate in on the "server" option.

 

NOTE 2: Some changes may occur in "receive options". The following settings are for reference only.

 

NOTE 3: select the SMTP server for "Send email! Here I use the original 163 mailbox.
