A brief introduction to DNS

In order to distinguish each host in the network, each host must be configured with a unique IP address, but the number of addresses people are more difficult to remember, so the "domain name" approach to replace these numbers.

When a host to communicate with other hosts, you can use domain name communication, domain name to the DNS server query, converted to the corresponding IP address for communication.

The early DNS service was a file that provided/etc/hosts files, but later, as the Internet developed, the file was unable to meet demand, and the software was developed by the University of Berkeley to provide a wider range of DNS services.

The DNS server system consists of the following four components:

DBS Domain Name space

Resource records

DNS Server

DNS Client

Fields are divided into:

Organization domain: COM, org, net, cc ....

Country domain: CN, tw,hk,....

Reverse Domain: IP-->FQDN

The DNS query process is divided into two parts

The name query starts from the client and transmits to the local DNS Client service query for resolution and, if the query is not locally resolved, resolves the DNS server that is set on the native computer. As shown in Figure 2
