In manyProgramIn, font management is a headache in winter. Although UNIX is similar to Linux, many UNIX font cannot be found in Linux. So we need to find a solution.
There are two solutions. The first one is to change all the places in your program that used the previous UNIX font to the existing font on Linux. This project is relatively large, but the advantage is that if you install the program on another Linux, you can directly run it.
The second solution is to set the font-alias, that is, the font alias. For example, there is a font named unixfont in UNIX, but we don't have it in Linux. We have a linuxfont in Linux, so we can use unixfont as the alias of linuxfont. Although the program uses unixfont, however, the system will automatically specify linuxfont to run properly. The advantage is that you do not need to change a large number of original sources, but you need to set a font-alias for the new environment each time you install it in a new environment. Let's take a look at how to configure font-alias.
First, find the/usr/x11r6/lib/X11/fonts/MISC/fonts. Alias file and add the following similarCode
Min12k - Misc - Fixed - Medium - R - Normal -- 12 -*-*-*-*-*- Jisx0208 . 1983 - 0
In this way, the min12k and-Misc-Fixed-Medium-R-Normally, And the font size is 12. It takes effect after the system is restarted.
To view the font supported by the current system, you can run xfontsel in the XWindow environment and observe it in the application.
