I am a self-built online shop and use the zencart program run in linux apache mysql php. I recently received an email from paypal reminding me that the paypal service is to be upgraded and the server needs to be upgraded,
There are three main points above:
1. paypal upgrades the ssl Certificate and supports sha256 and G5
2. Upgrade to TLS1.2
3. https callback is required for the paypal IPN service in the future.
I am using PayPal Website Payments (Standard). The payment process is as follows:
In the following steps:
Step 2: make a payment on the paypal website.
Step 2: Send IPN information to the website by paypal
Step 2: the website returns the original information of the person received in step 3 to the paypal api, which is used to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
Step 2 is to send the verification information for successful payment by paypal to the website.
Then, compare the two pictures. What I need to pay attention to is step 1. Send the received post information back to paypal for authentication. After the paypal upgrade, I need to send it back to an https address. I can view the code, https is always used, so the problem arises. Do you need to upgrade the server to support sha256 and G5 in this step?
If yes, what should I do?
