Simple Research and Test on column-store index of SQLSERVER2012
LOB pages are not unfamiliar to everyone. LOB stores large object data. Data types such as text and image are stored on the LOB page.
The MSDN explanation is as follows:
(V = SQL .105). aspx
LOB_DATA: one or more of the following types of data are stored for large objects: text, ntext, image, xml, varchar (max), nvarchar (max ),
Varbinary (max) or CLR user-defined type (clr udt ). The page type is Text/Image.
LOB_DATA allocation Unit
When a table or index has one or more LOB data types, a LOB_DATA allocation unit is allocated to each partition. The Hong Kong server manages the storage of the data.
LOB data types include text, ntext, image, xml, varchar (max), nvarchar (max), varbinary (max), and CLR user-defined types.
However, this explanation is provided in the result of dbcc ind.
PageType page type: 1: Data Page; 2: Index page; 3: Lob_mixed_page; 4: Lob_tree_page; 10: IAM page
What is the difference between Lob_mixed_page and Lob_tree_page?
Heap table
Execute the following SQL statement: the Hong Kong virtual host and the Hong Kong virtual host to store the results of DBCC IND.
