The author finds that Oracle cannot be successfully installed under WINDOWS7 because it is not due to the prerequisite check of the Oracle installer, or "the client does not support the Windows 7 operating system with version number 6.1", or "the Microsoft LoopBack Adapter is configured as the primary network adapter for the system, the author answers each of these two cases.

One, the client does not support the Windows 7 operating system with version number 6.1

any current version of the Oracle client does not install properly on any version of Windows7, mainly because the operating system version in the Oracle Installer prerequisites is not compliant, but this can be done by modifying the file in the Oracle installation source Refhost.xml configuration file to resolve.

Then locate the Refhost.xml file in the Unpacked folder (location: Database\stage\prereq\db, you can use your computer's search function), open the Refhost.xml configuration file and locate the <certified_systems > node, then add the following to the node and save it:

     Two, no Microsoft LoopBack Adapter configured as the primary network adapter for the system

    1. Open the Control Panel and click on the "Hardware and sound" option;
       
    2. In the Devices and Printers group, click the Device Manager option;
       
    3. On the first node of Device Manager (that is, the computer name of the computer), right-select "Add outdated Hardware" to open the " Add Hardware Wizard;
       
    4. Select "Next" to continue;
       
    5. Manually select the hardware you want to add;
       
    6. Select the type of hardware to install: network adapter;
       
    7. On the left side of the Select Network adapter panel, select the vendor Microsoft, on the right, lists the relevant adapter types and selects Microsoft LoopBack Adapter (Microsoft Loopback Adapter) for the next step;

   

     

   

8. After adding the hardware, you will find a new "local connection", which is the fake "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" (because it is not connected to the hardware at all, just to deceive Oracle). Then we in the new "local Connection 2" Midpoint right-click "Properties", set a bit of IP, such as 192.168.100.89, but also remember to disable the original local connection, otherwise it will not pass:
  

     

     
9. OK, now open the Oracle installer to perform a prerequisite check , 100% pass. Oracle can now be installed successfully under WINDOWS7.
