SQL Server compatibility mode

Source: Internet
Author: User

Recently, an old system switched to SQL Server 2005 database and changed from 2000 to 2005. By default, an error occurs during startup:

Incorrect syntax near 'index'. If this is intended as a part of a table hint, a with keyword and parenthesis are now required.

The "with" keyword is missing in the table hint in the SQL statement. For more information, you can find that the "with" keyword is not used in SQL server 2000. You must use the "with" keyword at "2005" or later. It is estimated that the SQL syntax is not standardized at that time.

Change the corresponding database to the 2000 (80) compatibility mode to solve the problem.
