When it comes to Columnstore index, we have to mention the compression technology of SQL Server. Columnstore is the use of SQL Server compression technology. Columnstore is divided into two different compression types, Columnstore and columnstore_archive. Columnstore_archive uses the Microsoft Xpress compression algorithm to achieve a greater compression ratio than Columnstore.

For the table itself is columnstore, either we choose Columnstore, or choose Columnstore_archive, both choose a compression type
