SQL Server installation and configuration

 

1. Fixed SQL server2008 authentication login Error

Windows authentication is used when SQL Server is installed. To use SQL Server Authentication after installation, you must change the login authentication mode to Hybrid Authentication. Step: first use Windows authentication, and then right-click -- properties, select Security, change server authentication to SQL Server and Windows Authentication Mode

2. Set the user name and password

The logon mode is usually selected when sqlserver is installed. If you select windows identity mode for login, you can directly log on without a password. If you select hybrid login mode, you need to set a login password for the SQL Server built-in user SA, but this user has strict verification requirements when setting the password under Windows server2008 (Windows server2003 is not very clear ), therefore, Windows identity mode is generally used.

However, no matter which mode you choose, new users will be created in the actual application to achieve personalized management and application. So how to create a new user?

Step: 1. First, log on as the installer

2. Select security-> login name, right-click to create a login name

3. Enter the login name, select SQL Server authentication, and enter the password

4. Remove the mandatory password policy (because the password policy will make the password detection very strict, and the general password will not be the same ), of course, if you have a suitable password, you can also hook it to enforce the password policy.

 

5. Select the server role on the left and assign a role to the user name.

Now, you can click OK to set other attributes even if the new user is successfully created.

 

3. Restart the sqlserver Service
