What is the reason why SQL Server table hints cannot modify the table structure? Here's how to handle the problem, and if you've had problems with SQL Server table modifications, you might want to take a look.
The newly installed SQL Server 2008, opened the original SQL Server 2008 established in the table, now want to add some fields, when saving prompt error, cannot be saved.
At first, I thought it was incompatible with SQL Server 2008 and 2005, and later found that a new SQL Server table in SQL Server 2008 could not modify the table structure, that is, you cannot modify the field names and add field names.
The prompt is: Saving changes is not allowed. Your changes require that the following tables be deleted and recreated. You have made changes to the label that cannot be recreated or enabled the "Prevent saving changes that require table re-creation" option.
This is because you selected the block save changes required to recreate table option.
Workarounds for SQL Server table issues:
Start MSSQL SERVER 2008, select the Menu tool-〉 options-〉 the left side has a designer-〉 Table designer and Database Designer. Then remove the tick before "prevent saving changes that require the table to be recreated." Restart MSSQL SERVER 2008. As shown in the following:
