Problems starting MySQL
/etc/init.d/mysqld start
MySQL server PID file could not being found! [FAILED]
Starting MySQL ...... ..... .................... The server quit without updating PID file (/data/mysql/mysql_3306/data/mysql.pid). [FAILED]
Viewing the error log
150619 15:57:19 [Note] Server socket created on IP: ' 0.0.0.0 '.
150619 15:57:19 [ERROR] Fatal Error:can ' t open and Lock Privilege tables:table ' mysql.host ' doesn ' t exist
Reason:
./scripts/mysql_install_db--user=mysql--DEFAULTS-FILE=/ETC/MY.CNF
This step (initializing the database) is MY.CNF with the default
And it starts with the latest
Workaround:
Initialize with the latest configuration file
cd/usr/local/mysql/
./scripts/mysql_install_db--user=mysql--DEFAULTS-FILE=/ETC/MY.CNF
Boot no problem
