1. Start the listener: LSNRCTL start
2. Start a database instance:
Sqlplus/nolog
Conn/As sysdba
Startup -- followed by the database instance name

1. Enter the bin in the Oracle installation directory.
2. Vim dbstart
3. Change oracle_home_listner = $1 to oracle_home_listner = $ ORACLE_HOME.
4. Vim/etc/oratab
5. Change N after orcl:/home/u01/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1: n to Y. Note: The preceding directories may be different.
6. If the system prompts that shutdown. log has no permission, you need to change the permission of this file to the same user and user group as your Oracle database.

Add the following statement to/etc/rc. d/rc. Local to start the instance of the same system:
Su-Oracle-c "LSNRCTL start"
Su-Oracle-c "dbstart"
