Steps for installing Turbo C 2.01

I believe that you will encounter this problem when learning C language programming at the beginning. A large segment in the book describes the code, but it just doesn't tell you how to use these compilers. Mr. Tan haoqiang's C language programming I believe that everyone has learned some of them in the university. The Compiler used here mainly talks about Turbo C 2.01. For those who know Visual C ++, Turbo C 2.01 is a bit mentally retarded. For those who are new to C, Turbo C is a good choice, because when we use visual c ++, due to its intelligence, it will avoid many mistakes for us and lead to unnecessary bad habits. From my personal experience in C language, I will share with you some of my experiences: unless you are a genius, you must take steps and take a bite to eat, don't expect you to step into the sky, be careful not to lay a solid foundation and fall into the abyss.

Step 1:

Download the Turbo C 2.01 software. here we need to explain more. Currently, most of the compilers of Turbo C downloaded from the Internet are integrated in Chinese, mainly for convenience. However, I think it is better to use the original English version, however, the original English version is hard to find on the Internet. I have saved the RAR compressed file of Turbo C 2.01. If you want to download it, you can download it from qupan, here is a link for downloading Turbo C 2.01 (if you do not believe this link, you can find your own resources to download it .)

The downloaded file name is tc201.rar (as shown in)

(PS: this very classic software, because of its early history, is only 1, 1.05 kb, or MB)

After decompression, the tc201 file contains three folders: disk1, disk2, and disk3, as shown in)

Note: As this software was released, when it was still popular with 3.5 inch floppy disks, it was originally required to install Turbo C 2.01 three 3.5 inch floppy disks, but now it can be freely placed in a USB flash disk. Another point is that we must put the files in the disk1, disk2, and disk3 folders together before Turbo C 2.01 to avoid errors during installation. (Let's talk about the error at the end)

Step 2:

Find the executable file named install.exe in the same file (as shown in)

Double-click this file to go To the Turbo C 2.01 installation page, as shown in)

(Because my operating system is Windows XP, it is only window mode. If you want to enter full screen mode, use the shortcut key Alt + enter)

As shown in, if you want to install it, press enter (Press enter to display the following interface)

The interface shown is mainly used to find out where your installation file exists. Because I put the decompressed file together and store it in the E:/tc201/disk1/directory, so when I type E, the title bar displays the directory of my installation file. That is to say, you need to enter the letter of the drive letter under which you put the installation file.

If there is no problem with the above installation process, press enter on this interface to go directly to the next interface, as shown in:

In this interface, you can press enter directly. Below I will explain the three lines of English prompt displayed on the interface:

Install Turbo C on a hard drive (install Turbo C 2.01 on your hard disk)

Update hard drive copy of Turbo C 1.5 to Turbo C 2.01 (If your current Turbo C compilation software is version 1.5, if this option is selected, the 1.5 version of Turbo C will be upgraded to the 2.01 version of Turbo C)

Install Turbo C to a floppy drive (install Turbo C on a floppy disk)

We chose install Turbo C on a hard drive to go to the next interface, as shown in:

This interface prompts you whether to install Turbo C 2.01 in the E:/TC directory. If you install it in the E:/TC directory as shown in, just press Enter.

If you want to install Turbo C 2.01 on another drive letter, you can choose one.

The following interface is a prompt for successful installation, as shown in:

Step 3:

Find the executable file named tc.exe in the E:/TC/directory, as shown in)

Double-click the file to display the operation interface of the Turbo C 2.01 compiler, as shown in)

In this way, you can edit and debug your own programs.

PS: If the files in the three folders are not put together

During installation, compiler/utilities disk must be put into the floppy drive.
