Symantec released the latest threat intelligence report for February 2016


According to the latest report in February 2016, one of every 125 emails contains malware.
Based on data from the Global Intelligence Network (GIN), one of the world's largest threat Intelligence networks, Symantec provides monthly analysis reports on Global Network security threats, trends, and data. This month's threat intelligence is summarized from five parts: malware, Web attacks, mobile & social media, cyber fraud, and phishing attacks.
Malware

The proportion of email malware remained high in February, and one of the 125 emails contained malware.

Organizations with employees ranging from 1501 to 2500 are most vulnerable to malware attacks, up to 1/76.

Retail and construction industries share the highest proportion of malware, with a 1/97 share.

This month, the number of new malware variants reached a new low, only 19.2.
Web Attacks

The Spartan and Angler sdks continue to occupy the top two in the Web attack tool rankings, each with a usage rate of 24% and 21.4% respectively.
The Nuclear toolkit jumped to the third place this month, accounting for 6.6% of all Web attacks.

On average, February Web attacks occurred every day In 1749, the lowest level since last October.
Mobile & Social Media

Manual sharing is still the most common social media scam, with an increase of nearly 13 percentage points. False Offer drops from 38.57% to 24.84%.

On average, the number of variants of each mobile malware family has continued to rise, reaching 48.

No new Android malware family was found this month.
Network fraud

The proportion of spam decreased by 0.3 age points to 53.2%.

The mining industry has become the industry most vulnerable to malware. Although this month's decline is 1.8 age points, 57% of emails are still spam.

The construction industry and the retail industry were separated by two or three places, both of which showed a downward trend, with a decrease of 2.2 and 5.1 age points respectively.
Phishing Attacks

The proportion of phishing attacks declined this month, reaching the lowest level in 12 months, which is only 1/3335.

Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries have become the most likely industries to see phishing emails. Among the 1815 emails, there is a phishing email.

The number of employees between 1 and 250 is the most vulnerable to phishing attacks, with a ratio of 1/2924, although it is lower than January in 1/2331.
