System migration without installing the Oracle client

To port the system without installing the Oracle client:

1. Copy the Oracle and HMIS folders:

If the original ORANT and HMIS folders are in the C: disk, the new system will be copied to the C: disk; the original files will be in the D: disk, and the new system will also be copied to the D:

2. Export the original system registry and import it to the registry of the new system:

Export method:

Click Start-> Run-> type "regedit" and press enter to open the Registry Editor;

In the Registry Editor, expand "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREORACLE" in the left-side tree ";

Right-click an Oracle item and choose export from the shortcut menu. The import file dialog box is displayed. Enter "Oracle" in the file name, and click Save to become a registry file (remember the saved location );

Export the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREyyjsxt" branch in the same way and save it as the "HMIS" Registry file;

Import method:

Copy the exported two registry files "Oracle. reg" and "hmis. reg" to any location of the new system, and double-click these two registry files in turn;

Two dialogs are displayed during import. One is to check whether the import is successful (it must be selected), the other is to check whether the import is successful, and click OK!

3. Add the Oracle bin path to the PATH of the new system:

Method: In the new system, right-click my computer and choose properties. The System Properties window appears;

Select the "advanced" tab and click "environment variables". The environment variables setting box is displayed;

The upper part is the user environment variable, the lower part is the system environment variable, select "PATH" in the lower part of the System Environment Variable list, and click the "edit" button in the lower part;

If ORANT is on D: disk, add "; D: ORANTBIN" at the end of the variable value (the semicolon is used to separate different folders. If the variable value has a semicolon at the end, you don't need to add a semicolon.) In C: the disk is "; C: ORANTBIN"

Now you can debug the application in the hmis file and send the application shortcuts to the desktop.
