Xshell is a powerful security terminal simulation software that enables users to enjoy their work in a complex network environment through secure connections to remote hosts via the Internet and its innovative design and features. Here I'm going to use Xshell to control my CentOS 6.4 under the Windows interface. Keep a record of the learning process and hope to be of some help to everyone.
Environment: Virtual machine vmware9;centos6.4 system; XShell5.
Before using Xshell, you first need to configure the IP address. This uses the Red Hat Special graphical tool setup to set up the IP address .
Enter setup and return to see the following interface. Select Network configuration->Device configuration, and select the network card eth0.
Back to Windows, the command line uses Ipconfig/all to query the native IPV4 address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server. Then return to VMware for network configuration.
After the configuration well save, exit and so on. Back to the original position, enter the following command, shown below.
In the above interface, onboot=yes the network card is running, if the =no need to change to Yes. Move the cursor to the last line press the keyboard "O" into insert mode, change to Yes and press ESC, and enter
Save and exit the changes.
And then enter the command
#service Network Restart
Restart the Network service. Next, enter the command
#ifconfig
Then display the configured eth0 information as shown below. Novice Note that Linux is ifconfig and not Windows ipconfig.
After the IP is configured, you can then open the Xshell. Creates a new session. Enter your own name, enter eth0 complete IP address, click User authentication, enter user name. Then determine.
The following figure creates a session successfully. Select and click Connect-> to accept and save. Then enter the password and click Confirm.
Here I entered the #df. Visible XSHELL5 is successfully connected with my VMware8.
Of course, such as the picture can adjust the color, adjust the font and so on. Here I set the new white, font size 12, looks more comfortable. The default selection UTF-8, the normal display of Chinese.
