The installation of/dev/root does not exits in CentOS 7 fails.

I am on the official website is this CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1611.iso, and then made with UltraISO 9.6 U disk boot disk, but this error occurs during the installation,

Then I searched for a long time and tried it. The method below is correct and feasible. I will explain the reason at the end.

Step 1:

After the preparation is complete, change the label name of the USB flash drive to whatever you want, but it is better to be simpler, because it will be used later.

Step 2:

Start installation. On the installation page that appears, select the first option, that is, Install CentOS 7, press the TAB key to edit the startup Item (or press the e key) and change CentOS 7 x86_64... Replace the string with your own string, and then press enter (some press ctrl + x) to start,Note that the case sensitivity must be the same, or the system will not be able to find your USB flash drive..

 

Cause: the length of the Label in Win7 is not long enough, so the hard disk cannot be found during installation.
