Kinetic Sculpture for the BMW

Kinetic sculpture uses the metal ball's position in space to showcase the entire design process of a BMW car. Based on the principle of point combination, dynamic display of a car in the design before the burst of inspiration to the rigorous design process to the final finished the whole process of landing. The whole process is composed of 714 metal balls, which are pulled up and down in a certain pattern by stepping motor.

Resonance–reflective Kinematronic III

Resonance this project changes the refractive effect of light by moving the lens. The refraction effect of light on the wave lens is combined into a multidimensional unreal dynamic physical space. This work was exhibited at the Kunsten Museum in Denmark in 2010.

Mobility This project also uses the effect of light in the mirror refraction to reorganize. Unlike the previous case, the work emphasizes the design language of the device itself. The mobility is made up of 100 hand-held prosthetic hands with mirrors that control each prosthesis through a stepper motor. By adjusting the angle of the mirror, the reflected individual spot is combined into a pattern. This work was exhibited at the Shanghai World Expo in 2010 and is unforgettable.

Solaris

The United States lunar Module "Solaris" Device connects human brain waves with magnetic fluids that possess magnetism characteristics. Viewers wear devices that can analyze brain waves and change the shape and movement of magnetic fluids by monitoring the changes in brain waves in real time. The project wants to convey the concept that humans have a strong desire for knowledge of the outside world and civilization, but are not aware of the dark side of their own thinking, and through Solaris This device can visualize human thought activities.

65°-75° This project shows us the magic of the Northern Lights through sound and abstract graphics. The artist collects a lot of Nordic snow sounds and images through a 10-day tour of northern Europe. Audiences can experience the stunning Northern Lights and sound scenes of the Nordic region through this interactive indoor device.

Botanicus Interacticus

Botanicus This device connects plants to sensors and visualizes information about changes in plants as they touch plants by double-sided mirrors and displays.

Four. Interesting information conversion

Zimoun

Zimoun is a large-scale sound art project. The artist aims to use simple materials to make sound by stepping motors that move, rub, collide with each other, and combine individual sounds into another sound by arranging them. These works express the tension between the orderly form of modernism and the chaotic power of life. With an emotional depth, the Zimoun's minimalist device echoes the sound of natural phenomena effortlessly.

Reflection

With the rapid development of science and technology and information, information visualization has gradually become a new color with new technology and media, which brings more interesting and updated experiences to people's data analysis . The case presented in this article seems to have been impossible to achieve in the past, but it is now in front of us like magic. Today, as a design practitioner, we are in the age of Big data explosion, and we need to think about how we can use the power of technology to achieve designs that were previously impossible, and how to design big data or information using technology. Through our design, information is presented in a more attractive and interesting form.
