The Linux kernel is the core of the computer's operating system. A complete Linux distribution includes a range of software such as kernel and other file-related operations, user management systems, and package managers. Each tool is a small part of the entire system. These tools are usually independent projects that have developers to develop and maintain.

Many different Linux distributions meet the different needs of different users and organizations. Large business organizations typically tend to use distributions from Red Hat, SUSE, and Canonical (Ubuntu).

Fedora is a community version based on Rhel,centos,scientific Linux, and Oracle Linux. More packages are packaged than Rhel,fedora. One reason is that a diverse community is involved in the construction of fedora; it's not just a company. In this process, CentOS is used for activities, demonstrations, and experimentation because it is provided free of charge to end users and has a longer release cycle than Fedora (usually releases a new version every six months or so).

The relationship between SuSE, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), and openSUSE is similar to Fedora, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CentOS.

Debian is upstream of many distributions, including Ubuntu, and Ubuntu is the upstream of Linux Mint and other distributions. Debian has a wide range of applications in the fields of server and desktop computers. Debian is a pure open source program and focuses on a key point, stability. It also provides the largest and most complete software repositories to the user.
