Seed () sets the starting value for the integer used to generate the random number. Call this function before calling any other random module function.
Grammar
The following is the syntax for the Seed () method:
Seed ([x])
Note: This function is not directly accessible, so you need to import the seed module and then use the random static object to invoke the function.
Parameters
- X-This is the seed of the next random number. If omitted, the system time is required to produce the next random number.
return value
This method does not return any values.
Example
The following example shows the use of the Seed () method.
#!/usr/bin/pythonimport randomrandom.seed () print "Random number with seed:", Random.random () # It'll generate SA Me random numberrandom.seed print "random number with seed:", Random.random () # It'll generate same random numb Errandom.seed () print "Random number with seed:", Random.random ()
When we run the above program, it produces the following results:
Random number with seed 10:0.57140259469random number with seed 10:0.57140259469random number with seed 10:0.5714025 9469
