Article Title: Tips for using Cacti configuration. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Includes basic categories such as desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, and open source.
Tips for using Cacti Configuration:
1. If you use an SNMP template to collect information, the key is to set the OID value of the device information (which can be viewed in Data Templates) and the OID value corresponding to the specific information, google "Common OID value. CPU, memory, hard disk usage, and other information can be obtained through this method. You can use a command to test whether the OID value is valid.
2. cacti can define and use the CDEF function, which is located in Graph Management in the upper left corner. What it means is that, after you set the data collection method, the data is displayed not only on the graph, you can also use the CDEF function to perform mathematical operations and processing on the data, and then draw the data on the graph. (Various mathematical functions can be used in CDEF.) After CDEF function is defined, you can create a Graph.
Such as summation:
1. Click Graph Management, and click add in the upper right corner. If you do not need to select Graph Management, create directly;
498) this. width = 498; "height = 99>
2. Enter the title. Do not enter other information. create;
498) this. width = 498; "height = 171>
3. Graph Items is displayed in the middle. Click add:
498) this. width = 498; "height = 78>
4. Select the Data Source to display the Data items you want To sum up. You can enter other Data items as needed;
498) this. width = 498; "height = 275>
5. In the same way, add another amount to be counted;
6. Add a summary and sum item. Here, Data Source is not filled. In CDEF function, select one of the functions defined previously or included in cacti. Because I am here summing up, I chose Total All Data Sources.
498) this. width = 498; "height = 225>
7. You can add several more icons (such as current, avg, max, and min)
As shown in the method, select the GPRS int for Item Type, and select the function for CDEF. Do not fill in other fields.
498) this. width = 498; "height = 252>

I recently encountered many details about this configuration. After I checked the relevant information on the Internet, it was a basic solution. Sort it out and keep it for future reference.
