TIPS: How to fix the Docky mixed errors in Lubuntu
As we all know, Docky is a lightweight application starter in Unix/Linux systems. I am a loyal fan of LUbuntu and Docky, because they do not need to occupy all of my system resources, so that you can run more applications at the same time. I use the Docky app starter in my notebook. The system is Lubuntu 14.04.
However, if you use the LXDE release, you may have encountered a mixed error when you use Docky. See the following.
If you do not enable the hybrid feature, you cannot use some special features such as 3D background and automatic hiding. If you want to enable these Docky functions, You need to enable the hybrid function in your LXDE system.
Ubuntu 14.04
First install the xcompmgr package:
- Sudo apt-get install xcompmgr
Then, choose Menu> Preferences> LXSession Default program (Default applications for LXSession ). Select the Autostart tab. In the (+ Add) + Add box, enter "@ xcompmgr-n" without quotation marks. Click Add.
This is done. Disable the LXSession Configuration window and log out or restart the system. Then you can see that the hybrid feature is enabled.
In this case, you can use 3D background and hide functions, such as Auto-hide, Intellihide, and Window dodge.
Done! Cheers!
