Try Elementary OS 0.3 Freya Beta 1
Today, we downloaded the 64-bit Elementary OS 0.3 Freya Beta 1 image to get started. The installation process does not change much, but the connected network prompts that there is no Internet connection, but the file is downloaded and installed later. The installation is successful. After the restart, the update is normal, and the speed is surprisingly fast. The logon interface is flat and looks good:
After entering the desktop, I feel that the difference between 0.2 and is not big (compared to login). The font is still small (I like it), and the theme is still refreshing. My personal feeling is flat, and there are not many icon changes. GTK + uses 3.12.2, headerbar for multiple purposes, Gnome versions earlier than 3.6 (gnome-control-center), 3.8 (gnome-desktop3-data), 3.10 (gnome-calculator, evince) a variety of use, no other gnome programs except file-roller. The strange thing is that the control center version uses headerbar though it is old. After the related plug-ins are installed, the audio and video screens are normal. The browser does not use headerbar, and its appearance remains unchanged. The Chinese translation is incomplete and looks uncomfortable. Slingshot search is called as a boost to Synapse plugin, but it does not show other capabilities except the search program, during this period, the Search terminal did not enter the "term" and the Chinese character "terminal" or "pan". Isn't the terminal pantheon-terminal? The Ctrl-f address bar in the File (Pantheon File) is changed to the search bar, and it feels good and fast (I don't know if it is helpful to synapse ).

The Video Player uses the floating control bar to automatically hide the video in full screen mode, which is consistent with the trend. I have been looking for a very fine-tuned and sharp gnome-based desktop system. elementary OS is quite in line with my needs. In the past, the development was slow, which made people anxious. The release cycle is quite satisfactory.
