Shotwell is the default photo management tool for Ubuntu. It can be used to organize and publish photos to the Internet, including PicasaWeb, Flickr, and Facebook. Today, Shotwell released version 0.9 and added the extension plug-in framework for Web publishing. Shotwell is the default photo management tool for Ubuntu. It can be used to organize and publish photos to the Internet, including PicasaWeb, Flickr, and Facebook.

Today, Shotwell released version 0.9 and added the extension plug-in framework for Web publishing. The new version also includes a new search entry for filtering and scoring based on different types of images.

Other improvements include:

  • Retriable user directory pattern during import
  • Edit multiple photo titles at once
  • Improved rendering of underexposed RAW photos
  • Updated Gexiv2 library with an enhancement to the logging system
  • Various improvements and bug fixes
Install Shotwell 0.9 in Ubuntu 10.10
