1. Back up the configuration of CATOS and MSFC.
2. Place the IOS file in the flash card of slot0. Like c6sup12-jsv-mz.121-11b.EX1
3. Run the dir slot0 command to confirm that the file is already in the flash card of slot0.
4. Configure the Catos startup parameters. Next time, the system will be started to ROMMON:
Console> (enable) set boot config-register 0x0
5. Switch to MSFC:
Console> (enable) session 15
6. Modify MSFC configuration parameters:

Machine (config) # config-register 0x2102

7. Save the configuration and return to the switching status.
8. Restart the vswitch. And enters the ROMMON status
9. Enter the following command in the ROMMON status:
Rommon 1> CONFIG_FILE =
Rommon 2> sync
Rommon 3> boot slot0: c6sup12-jsv-mz.121-11b.EX1
10. Format sup-bootflash after startup:

11. Copy the system image from slot0: To sup-bootflash:
Router # copy slot0: c6sup12-jsv-mz.121-11b.EX1 sup-bootflash:
12. Set the relevant startup parameters to restart:
Router (config) # boot system flash sup-bootflash: c6sup12-jsv-mz.121-11b.EX1
Machine (config) # config-register 0x102
Router # write memory
Router # reload
