You can use bootchart to conveniently monitor linux Startup and Runtime
Status, And the status information is Graphically displayed and output as an image.
However, because of the special implementation of bootchart, it is not suitable for embedded systems.
In an embedded system, you can use the simplified bootchart-lite to replace bootchart.
1. Download bootchart-lite source code
Http://code.google.com/p/bootchart-lite/
2. Compile
CC = arm-linux-gcc./configure
Make
The bootchart-lite executable file is generated under the src directory.
By default, bootchart-lite stores log files in the/etc/bootchart-lite/directory,
Create this directory before using it.
3. Configure the startup parameters. After linux is started, start bootchart-lite first.
Init = bootchart-lite
4. Start linux
5. Collect log files and render images
Bootchart-lite generates the following three log files:
Proc_diskstats.log
Proc_ps.log
Proc_stat.log
After the three files are extracted, run the following command on the pc:
Tar czf bootchart. tgz *. log
Bootchart-f png bootchart. tgz
In the logstores directory, a bootchart.png file is generated. Open it and check your system status ....
Of course, do not forget to install the bootchart tool on the pc.
