Use built-in icons in the DevExpress program to build beautiful interface elements.

In our general program, adding certain icons to the general interface elements will help improve the overall appearance of the interface. The combination of typographical layout and fixed scene icons often gives users a great intuitive feeling: Uniform, beautiful, and easy to understand. Therefore, in the general program interface, try to add some icons to the slightly monotonous interface for embellishment, to achieve better overall effect. This article describes how to use your own icon library in the Winform program interface, or introduce the built-in icons in the DevExpress program to polish the developed program.

1. Use your own icon Library

No matter whether on the Web or in the WInform project, developers have accumulated a certain number of icon libraries, including large icons such as 256,128 or 64 pixels, or icons with regular 32 or 16 pixel specifications, which are relatively good, sometimes you can select icons that match the subject and scenario to add more beautiful elements to the development program.

However, even if you do not have enough storage, it doesn't matter. You can search for some qualified icons through the website. There are also many free icons on the website that can be downloaded, as shown in the following urls:

2. Use the built-in DevExpress icon Library

In some general interfaces, such as editing and querying buttons, I prefer to use the built-in DevExpress icon, so that the program looks more unified, for example, in the basic form of the interface design, the following figure shows the effect of the icon application.

It is easy to add icons. Click a small icon in the upper right corner of the button to enter the editing page, as shown below.

Then select the Image button to go To the icon selection interface and select the built-in DevExpress icon library. Basically, as long as it is a native control of DevExpress, you can select an icon through the built-in icon dialog box, which is very convenient.

The large icon is 32*32, and the small icon is 16*16.

In this way, we can select the same icon to form a standard icon when designing some common list interface operation buttons.
