If you want to build a website, you may want a content management system (CMS) tool to make your website articles clear at a glance. I seldom mentioned this in my previous articles, but many commercial websites have only one choice: to compile a suitable system.
Why? It seems that the system compiled by myself lacks stability. On the contrary, systems written by hundreds of thousands of people have successfully run on thousands of websites. However, once a problem occurs, it is very difficult to find out where the problem occurs. If you want to customize or modify it by yourself, you will be faced with huge code and ambiguous documents.
Write your own CMS. on the other hand, you will find the solution that best suits your needs, and find out the problem of your development team. If you have time and energy to write your own code, this is the best choice. This is why I have repeatedly mentioned it.
We will use php for writing, because it is a very good network-based development language. Mysql will also be used as the background database, and the system will also support other databases, such as PostgreSQL and SQLServer.
So what will our system do? First of all, the most important thing is to allow a large number of content on the website to be conveniently added to your own database. Of course, a successful website also contains many other important features, such as user authentication and file management.
Plan your CMS
First, we need to plan what functions our system needs to implement. In future articles, I will use examples to illustrate some of the main tools and components that improve your system.
In the first step, you need to write a basic requirement for your CMS. Obviously, this is based on your needs.
Content Management: The most important function of the system. you must save the content such as documents and news in the database and then display the user's requests. Easy to edit, add and delete the modified interface.
User Authentication: we may want to restrict access to some sites. Obviously, an administrator is required to add and edit content anywhere. You may only want some people or departments to access your site.
Page style/Template: The entire system should provide a uniform style, which requires separating service processing and interface. This requires separating content from the display style.
Object-oriented OOP
Php supports OOP. When we organize our systems, we will find that a large amount of code will be used repeatedly, such as connecting to the database and user verification. Keep the code neat and beautiful. We put them all in the classes file for calling. When necessary, we will instantiate the object. So the class idea can be used in many occasions.
For example, we can create a class to connect to the database. when we need to query the database, we will take this class as an example. if you are not very clear about this concept, it doesn't matter, when we start our code, you will get to know it more and more. This method divides complex systems into small and simple modules, and makes things simple, easy to manage, modify, and identify errors.
Now let's consider how to effectively organize the system. Of course, this is related to your own needs. The following figure shows a basic idea:
We have four main modules that are widely used in the system. They are database access, user uploads, template reads and writes, and user logon and logout. All classes are inherited from the systemObject class.
Although they are all placed in the systemObject class, these four classes are independent of each other. This hierarchical method allows us to change all four subclasses by modifying the systemObject parent class. In addition, this concept will be clearer when we start a specific instance. The preceding chart is a basic management system. each function requires one or more pages.
