A colleague installed the SQL Server Enterprise Manager on a notebook that often experienced problems, and installed it at the end of the installation for ActiveX registration.ProgramIf an error occurs, the installer is terminated. Although the SQL Server Enterprise Manager already exists in the program group, the system prompts that the management unit cannot be initialized when it is opened.

Comparing normal computers with normal computers using process Explorer when using SQL Server Enterprise Manager, we found that the DLL files in all SQL directories of the computer were not loaded, it is estimated that the installation program is not registered with a file.

Run the following command using cmd.exe to restore the SQL Server Enterprise Manager to normal:

CD/D "D:/program files/Microsoft SQL Server/80/tools/binn"
For/F % I ('dir *. dll/B ') Do regsvr32/S % I
