The following uses the simplest hello world as an example to describe how to use Oracle9ias to develop wireless applications:

1. Write a simple webpage named hello world XML and publish it to the local WEB server.

1-1. Create a directory named "walkthrough" under ".. \ iaswv20 \ wireless \ j2ee \ default-web-app"

1-2. In .. \ iaswv20 \ wireless \ j2ee \ default-web-app \ walkthrough, create a new file named helloworld. xml with the following content:

2. Use a browser to test the hello world XML webpage

Open your browser and enter http: // 127.0.0.1: 9000/examples/helloworld. xml in the address bar. You will see the following picture, which is of course not what we expected.

3. Use web tool to configure services

3-1. log on to the web tool. Enter http: // 127.0.0.1: 9000/webtool/login. uix in the address bar, and enter orcladmin and manager in the user name and password respectively.

3-2. Click the Service Designer tab on the webpage and click "Create Master Service" to Create a primary Service.

3-3. in the displayed dialog box, enter HelloWorld _ <name> (<name> the name used to log on to the webpage and wireless port), select the http adapter from the drop-down list, and click Next, click Next on the "CACHING" page.

3-4. click Next on the "init parameters" Page. In the URL line displayed, enter http: // 127.0.0.1: 9000/walkthrough/helloworld. xml, click Next, click Next on the "Asynch Agent" page, and click Finish on the "Result Transformers" page.

In this way, a primary service is established, and the following is the establishment of the user service.

3-6. Click the Content Manager tab, as shown in the following figure:

3-7. after clicking the "Add Service" button, enter HelloiDevelop _ <Name> in the Service name text box of the following screen and click Next, click the "Master" Folder in "Root Folder and Services", select the newly created HelloWorld Master service, click Next, click Next on the "Input Parameters" page, and click Submit.

4. user access and service configuration

4-1. Click the "Groups" link to assign services to each group of users, as shown in:

4-2. Select the "Guests" radio button and click "Assign Services" to Assign a wireless access permission to each wireless user. Then add the HelloiDevelop service to the Group, as shown in:

5. Test HelloWord on the simulator

5-1. Double-click the UP. Simulator icon on the desktop, which is similar to the mobile phone icon. in the address bar, enter http: // 127.0.0.1: 9000/ptg/rm, as shown in:

5-2. The selected helloworld service (as shown in the following figure) is not exactly what we expected.
