Use the latest kernel in the next Ubuntu version
GuideDespite the launch of Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak), Canonical announced earlier this month that the code for the next major Ubuntu 17.04 version of Ubuntu Linux will be "Zesty Zapus", a North American jumper.
As one of the most popular releases of GNU/Linux, the Ubuntu team said it is currently tracking the release of early RC versions of kernel Linux 4.9 kernel, the Team will consider using the Linux Kernel 4.9 Kernel for development.
The official Ubuntu 17.04 version is scheduled to be released by the end of April 2017. During this period, the new Linux Kernel 4.10 will be released in middle February, foreign media boldly speculated that Ubuntu 17.04 may be based on the future Linux Kernel 4.10 when it was officially released. This situation also exists in the development phase of Ubuntu 16.10. However, it is still too early to come to a conclusion. It is certain that Ubuntu 17.04 "Zesty Zapus" will soon start the development phase based on the Linux Kernel 4.9 Kernel.
