After successfully setting up a wireless LAN, many users are not asking for help. Even if they constantly adjust their wireless passwords, they may be at risk of brute force cracking by malicious users.
To ensure the security of the wireless network, you can use the "WiFi Guard" tool to monitor the users who attempt to access the network, so that they can be exposed.
Enable the main operation interface of the "WiFi Guard" tool, click the "Settings" button to go to the Basic control panel, and select the wireless Nic settings in use. After that, set the automatic scan cycle, synchronize the network device parameters and other information of the scan, and then enter the advanced control panel. Here, define the address range of the automatic scan. In this way, the "WiFi Guard" tool can enter the monitoring status as required.
During initial work, it can monitor all hosts in the wireless network and automatically display them in the monitoring list of the program, as shown in 2. By default, this tool only displays the green icon for the local host and wireless router, and all other hosts as suspicious red icons.
Double-click the host name that you think is valid and trusted, enter the description of the corresponding host, and then select the "I know this device or computer" option to adjust the target host to a valid host.
Follow the same procedure to set other hosts to valid ones in sequence.
In the future, if you suspect that your wireless network is under attack or is not running properly, simply press the "Start scan" button on the program interface, it immediately scans and monitors the local wireless network. By analyzing and comparing the pre-stored host database, it can discover the host devices of network users.
Manually add the MAC address of the corresponding device to the MAC Filter list of the wireless router to prevent the network users from accessing the Internet. For MAC address filtering, refer to "hands-on instructions on setting up a wireless router to prevent Internet access attacks" to add MAC address filtering section.
