- Download putty
- In the Start menu, locate Puttygen and start
- In Puttygen Click Generate Generate key, in this process all use the default settings, in this process requires the mouse to roam in the designated area to generate random numbers
- After generating the good key, click the Save Public Key button, give the key file a name (such as Pub.txt) in the File Save Type drop-down menu, select Save As all files type, and click Save. After generating the public key file, click on Save private key, a prompt will pop up, the direct point is, then a file name (such as PRI) in the File Save Type drop-down menu select Save As. PPK type, and click Save
- Writes the contents of the pub.txt generated in step 4th to the Authorized_keys file in the server's. ssh file.
- Open Putty Select Session in the leftmost category and write the IP address in the right host name, such as 111.11.111.11
- Select data in the leftmost category and write to root in the right auto-login username
- Select the auth under SSH in the leftmost category and click Browse in the private key file for authentication on the right to select the PRI.PPK file you just generated
- Select session in the leftmost category, give a name for all current configurations in Save sessions (item 1) and click Save to save the settings (in the next step, no more 2-8 steps, just select the saved profile here and click on load)
- Click Open to connect to the remote server
