Overview:
This experimental environment uses the VERITAS Netbackup 7.7.3 software Release to backup and restore SQL Server databases.

Add the IP address resolution for the nbumaster hostname in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file;

In the backup client configuration to generate SQL backup script, save the script to the appropriate directory;

In the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file, add Nbumaster, Nbu client's host name corresponding IP address resolution;

Configure the hosts resolution on both SQL Server database servers and NBU master;

Create the Altnames folder in the NBU Master server-side Veritas NetBackup Directory and create the No.restrictions file within the folder;

In Client2 open client2 Netbackup MS SQL Client, select Manage Scripts Select the script you just saved, select Start recovery;
