W3C HTML5 Chinese interesting groupIn the W3C collections, most messages from the Chinese world (more than 80% ?) All in this component group. As for the W3C HTML5 Chinese interest group goal, for the original plan, please refer to the articles of association [1], for the actual quality of the results, please refer to [2]. The summary is probably:
- Web technical specifications have been improved a lot
- There are some scattered examples of Web technologies
From an abstract perspective, W3C HTML5 is a community that reflects the interests of members in different communities, basically, it is similar to other W3C teams. For example, the component group [3] of the Web Notification Work Group of zookeeper won't be discussed for several months, there are no further developments in Web communications regulations, basically, these regulations disagree that these people spend time on this kind of "public affairs. The W3C HTML5 Chinese Text Editor's main work-planning and translation-has not been very interesting for a few months. Back to the topic's subquestions:
Q: (link: public-html-ig-zh@w3.org) do friends who care about font layout need to participate in the discussion?
A: This determines whether the keyword to be discussed in the typographical layout depends on the Web standard. As far as I know, it is important to print Fonts in CSS3 Fonts, CSS3 Writing Modes, and CSS3 Text. In addition, CSS3 Fonts also uses many OpenType-related things, public-html-ig-zh certainly welcomes the lack of these three provisions, or what functions should be added to these three models of CSS4, or even OpenType. But unfortunately, in terms of personal interests and knowledge, I am not very clear about either of them except CSS3 Text, these three modulo templates are not included in the list of CSS modulo templates that I will translate before (currently, I have basically used CSS templates ). Welcome to refer to the three models, or use wiki to place the relationship between the OpenType specifications.
Q: Do you welcome fans who are not specialized in font printing but are very concerned about font printing?
A: Welcome. The first rule is, any further discussion should have a goal (the goal is to make a change to a specific rule or send it to the Response Group (www-font@w3.org, opentype-list@indx.co.uk) of the specific statement) A letter ). Basically, people who love a certain skill are admirable when they come to the conference to see the rules, in fact, there are not many people who are directly related to these rules in the W3C HTML5 Chinese interest group.
