SQL Server Compact is a simplified version of SQL Server, which is first used for local data storage on mobile devices and embedded devices. Later, the platform support was extended to desktop computers and tablets, and now it has become an important supporting technology for Smart Client local data caching. SQL Server compact does not support stored procedures and triggers. Since the support of the desktop platform, more and more people are using SQL Server compact databases.
