I used to easily record some important information in my notebook and don't want others to see it. How to encrypt TXT files? The notepad provided by the system cannot be encrypted. You can use LockNote, FSekrit, and other tools with built-in encryption functions to record secrets.
The "Notepad" that comes with the Windows system can be regarded as a "temporary" notebook, which is a good helper for our on-demand notebook. It can have a bad place and cannot encrypt the file itself, when someone opens a file, they will see your secret. Do they feel that their private words have become "Public secrets "? Don't worry. Here are two "notebooks" that can be encrypted ".
I. Add a "Lock" to the private secret notebook"
If important information is written into the notepad that comes with the system, it is obviously not a good method. We can use LockNote to encrypt and save the information. The biggest difference between it and the system's "Notepad" is that there is a "Lock" function that writes some private information into LockNote, when saving the file, you must set a password (the password cannot be blank). The last saved file is in the format of the EXE executable file.
After running LockNote, enter the information to be encrypted and run the Save command. A password Setting Dialog Box (see Figure 1) is displayed automatically. Click OK to save the information. Now, you only need to double-click the generated EXE file and enter the password.

TIPS: if you do not want to use LockNote, you can try Steganos website free online encryption (https://www.steganos.com/us/products/home-office/freecrypt/overview/), first register an account, write the content into the encryption box, then, set the password to send the encrypted file by email.
2. Portable self-encryption "Notepad"
If the computer contains a lot of private and sensitive information, such as exported QQ token records and love letters for girlfriends, it is certainly not expected to be seen by others, therefore, it is better to put the content in an encrypted notepad. With FSekrit, you can easily achieve your goal. It is a very small, portable, and self-encrypted content Notepad program.
After running FSekrit, enter the content in the content box, or copy the information to be encrypted to it. Then, run the "File> set or change password" command in the menu, after entering the password twice, click OK (figure 2). After saving the file, an exe encrypted file is automatically generated. If you do not know the password, the file cannot be opened. Is it convenient? Most importantly, FSekrit is very compact and easy to carry with you in flash memory. You can encrypt the important things you need at any time before sending them. I am not afraid to send my girlfriend any bad words to anyone else?

TIPS:In addition to the two software mentioned above, WinRAR, our common compression and decompression software, can also be used to achieve the same application, compress the file, package the file, set the decompression password, and make it a self-extracting file.
