Zabbix complete Email Alert Summary
The configuration order on the web side is as follows:
Create user media --> create user groups and users --> Add alarm actions for trigger and set email sending users and media
1. Create a user Media
Create user Media --> create user groups and users --> Media types --> Createmedia type
Mediatype is set as follows. The Name item is customized (this Name will be used when the user is created). We use scripts to send emails. Therefore, select Script for Type items, the Script item is the Script Name of the email sent on your zabbix server (Note: for example, the Script name is snedmail. sh, then enter sendmail with a suffix ).
2. Create a user group
Choose Administration> User> Createusaer group from the menu bar.
Enter the User group name under the User group tab and select Enabled.
Note: Under the Permissions tab, you need to add hosts that can be accessed by user groups to Read-write or Read only (if the host is not added, the alarm email cannot be sent correctly ). In addition, the user's permissions follow the user group.
3. Create a user
Under Administration --> User, click the Users option in the second column to go to the user list where the User group is located, and then click Create user in the upper-right corner to Create a User.
Under the User tab, enter the alias, User name, password, and Group to select. Select Auto-login and select other default values.
Go to the Media tab, click Add to Add a user and the alarm method of the user, and select the mail alarm name (Media Type) you created for the Type item ), enter the user's alarm email address after sending to. By default, you can use other email addresses.
4. Add a host. Make sure that the template is correct. We will use ping for testing.
Restart the server and you will receive an email alert later.
