A new survey by the http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/31488.html "> FedEx" shows that the number of internet clicks and shipments of holiday gifts from the 2012 Christmas holiday will be set to record.
According to the survey, 55% of Canadians will turn to e-commerce this year, making full use of convenient online shopping and fast-moving transportation to avoid long queues at the physical store counter. In the 2011, about 45% of Canadians chose to shop online.
The survey found that the Canadian net buyers are generally urban and rural areas relatively young or high-income people. 73% of the respondents, aged 18-34, said they would shop online, with 58% per cent of those aged 35-54 saying they would shop online, with only 55 of those who were aged 36% or older who had a willingness to shop online.
The survey also found that income and holiday online shopping are closely related. Among respondents who earn more than 100000 dollars, the Christmas holiday is expected to account for 75% of the online shopping, and 50000 to 99999 dollars of respondents are expected to be online shoppers, accounting for 60% of the respondents who earn less than 50000 of dollars. Online shoppers have a slightly larger male than female, with a male account of 57% and 53% of women.
Geographically, 70% of Alberta's consumers, 67% of British Columbia, Prov. consumers and 63% of Canada's Atlantic (600558, share) regions are most likely to shop online on the coming holiday. Among them, Saskatchewan, Prov. 38%, Quebec, Prov. 43%, Manitoba Prov. 44% of consumers are unlikely to choose E-commerce, but these provinces still have about 40% of consumers may choose online shopping on this holiday.
